Greetings, Investing time to listen/watch/(and pay for) a webinar is risky business... I know that. You're busy, and time is precious. So the question is? Should you bother to attend any of the webinars we're offering on a monthly basis? It's a good question.

On May 31st 2011 we offered 'The ABCs of Organizational Development', we had about 200 people attend this webinar, after the session we asked for feedback. What better way to help you decide whether to spend your time with us?

It's all below, the good and the 'bad' - we've only removed some comments that were outside the scope of 'feedback' on the webinar.

Cheers

A good presentation. A brief Q & A session would have been beneficial. The webinar appeared to end rather abruptly. there was just about enough time to note down the PDU info. Or was it a problems in my connection? (yes a problem on your end - answered by Peter)
-
all good points, but seemed to lack some cohesion, didn't build to an "ah ha" point/s.
-
Although there was minimal participant interaction, the broad coverage of too often overlooked performance barriers captivated my attention throughout. Having worked for 10 years in the past as an Industrial Engineer, my daily observations are acutely aware of inefficiencies perpetuated by fallacies that are omnipresent throughout organizations - you touched on several very well. Organizations really need this message to unveil and enact simple solutions. Thank You!
-
Always appreciate listening in to your webinars; I enjoyed the "back-to-basics refresher" approach, as I'm speaking to a group of HR professionals next month. My topic is The Power of Civility, and I'm pleased to advise I'm a contributing author in a new book of the same name! Many of the touchstones/pillars you spoke about today transcend every arena - academic, business and social. My feedback? Peter, again, I am thankful for your offering...I do have feedback, and will send you an email!
-
Excellent webinar. Our Co has a code of ethics we call ICARE that is based on many of the points you made in this webinar.
Fortunately my Co does practice these principles, this is why I have been here for almost 15 years and have no plans to leave. The ICARE principle enables me to be successful. Unfortunately there are individuals that I deal with almost daily that tend to forget these... the good news, since this is a Co culture I have the right and obligation to remind these individuals of ICARE.
-
Excellent...as always!
-
FABULOUS webinar on leadership!
-
Fun to listen to you deliver something to a large group of people, rather than face to face in a bar or cafe! Well done.
good subject, different. As always, no technical difficulties. Thanks again
-
"Great Webinar. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Peter."
-
"Hi Peter,
Very interesting, as usual. Good value. Thanks."
-
Hi Peter. Thanks for providing this as you provided a different way of looking at Organizational Development.
-
I did do the work, but I was uncertain of my answer (27) for some reason. Thanks Peter. I love ice wine from Niagara on the Lake.
-
I enjoyed the webinar and liked the interactive exercise
-
"I like it - especially problem solving. Must have at least 2 or more answers for a postulated problem.
-
"I liked the change. One comment on the response to the exercise of moving people across the bride. Once the answer I came up with was provided, it seemed one of those answers was enough and there was no need for me to post then number. I learned that at least you would have been able to see the spread of all the answers if I had posted it.

Thanks for another thought provoking session."
-
"I loved the exercise. showed me that I jump to what I think is the easy answer.

keep up the good work."
-
"I really really enjoyed this webinar Peter. I've only taken one other webinar form you and I registered for this one because my PhD research in is the area of organizational culture and I thought you might touch on that a bit but I was quite pleasantly surprised with this webinar.

Well done.
-
I thought it was a good topic to cover!! Thanks!!
-
"I wished I worked in one of your project teams. I'd definitely feel valued and challenged to deliver my best.

Thanks for another great presentation."
-
"I wouldn't say there was anything startlingly new in this webinar, but I certainly enjoyed being able to correlate the various areas discussed. Thanks for reinforcing growth, emphasizing the importance of supporting those who wish to grow, and helping us see some of the essential elements in solid team building/problem solving.
PS - I enjoyed the challenge of the bridge-walkers. Just frustrated that I couldn't see the best solution on my own, knowing 21 was the 'usual' answer."
-
Interesting range of topics and quotes, more diverse than just a narrow project management focus! While I participated in your exercise, I was technologically challenged when I tried to respond, it wasn't until I maximized the presentation screen that I could respond. While this is the first session I sat in on, it won't be the last.
-
Interesting references and quotes...Challenge seems that these days that there are more followers in management then leaders. At least it seems that there is more promotion of followers then development of Leaders.
-
Interesting session, keep them coming. An important area for us to focus on in our organizations.
-
IT was very interesting as we encounter this on a daily basis. Very productive webinar
-
Nice mix using the quotes and then speaking to it. "Truth picks" in motion!
-
Peter-Very well done and my fear is many will miss the wisdom in what you did. I particularly like the idea of wanting at least two ""solutions"" to the challenge.

Too frequently the world expects the second list of critical elements to already be in place -- empathy, etc. It isn't and the challenge is to get it in place.

Again...thank you for the opportunity to listen in.
-
Peter, I enjoyed your session today. I especially liked the problem solving question and how it was an interactive exercise through a web session. Many of the areas you touched on (Communicating, Listening, Ethics, etc...) are not thought of when Organizational Development is discussed. Thank you for making it a "Hmmm" (thinking how it applies) session.
-
"Peter, thank you so much for the Webinar. my answer was 21 and I was convinced IT WAS RIGHT until you total embarrassed me.
-
Hopefully now this is over for this year. Thanks for the reminder.

The reason I did not participate is my page opened with the presentation and not the normal voting page."
-
"Peter,

I enjoy all your Webinars, but, this is by far the most interesting one I have attended. Excellent presentation!!"
-
Really enjoyed this one, Peter. Spawned some thinking outside the box about how to foster a culture that people want to be a part of without using heaps (or perhaps any) financial resources. Thanks.
-
Session was insightful. thanks Peter
-
Super webinar, no long chatty slides to read and some good pictures:
-
Thank you Peter that was a very good Webinar. What I enjoy the most is that you take an important topic and dumb-it-down for all to better comprehend what should already be understood as common sense. Good stuff!
-
"Thank you Peter, webinar was very informative. The length of the webinar was good, rather than sitting in a class room for several hours, this is a more manageable/digestible way to pick things up. I look forward to future topics

Thanks"
-
"Thanks for identifying a number of fixes that people avoid or pay lip service to. The internal psychology behind people avoiding solutions is interesting. How would these problems/fixes relate to personality types or are these more organizationally based?

Hope I can include these in presentations I am building.
-
"Thanks for sharing. Some good points, and it is good to get a refresh from time to time, as we have a tendency to forget things in the heat of the battle.

I appreciate the PDU credits as well."
-
Thanks Peter - it was a good seminar! I liked the practical examples and the bridge exercise.
-
"Thanks Peter
Lots of things to think about there
Especially like the ""Why do we do this?"" i need to ask this a lot more"
Thanks Peter! Great information, as always.
-
That was very thought provoking. Thank you.
-
The quotes were relevant to the discussion.
-
This is my first time attending the live webinar - Very insightful and interesting.. I liked the challenge/test and learned something from it. Thank you!!
-
Thought provoking as usual
-
Thought this was excellent. I love when these types of ideologies are identified as a common sense approach - too often folks feel the more complicated something appears to be, the better the solution will be.

Have a great day
-
Tough topic to carry the day on ... especially without Q&A. Well done. If you're going to invite feedback, set a puzzle "you get $500 and have 8 people, what are you going to do for org. dev.?" and get one-liners in the Q&A box ... think that would work better than the conceptual blockbusting bridge problem.
-
I understand no 'hard' answers, because this is a 'soft' issue  my own belief is strategy needs to bake in learning and practice, at the individual, team, and then organizational level
also need to accept failure, even at the level of organizations that don't get it and as a consequence 'fail'
-
Very engaging webinar. The biggest problem I have with webinars is the tendency to get distracted with other things.
Although the ""work on this problem for five minutes"" section was unorthodox, it forced me to focus more on the topic and on your words. It also caused you to interact more with your audience which resulted in me focusing more.
-
I enjoyed the subject matter as well. I normally enjoy your topics, and this was a good change of pace.
-
Thank you so much for delivering these monthly gems.
-
Very thought provoking.

Thank you!
-
Very thought provoking. A different pace as you said, but that's what keeps us coming back.
Thanks
-
Very useful webinar. I like your slides - no bullet points.
-
Was a good one. Thank you both for organizing and delivering.
-
Well done - is is always important to be reminded of these points.
